Dr. Brown's is an American baby brand that has been making baby feeding products since 1996. It is best known for its Natural Flow bottles with an internal vent system, designed to limit the air babies swallow while feeding. Options+ bottles work with this vent system, and the manufacturer says it can be removed as your baby's feeding develops, so you keep the same bottle. Is the Dr. Brown's bottle really anti-colic?
Its Natural Flow bottles have an internal vent system that the manufacturer says is designed to help reduce colic, spit-up and swallowed air. If crying persists, ask your pediatrician.
Can the Options+ bottle be used without the vent?
Yes: the manufacturer says the bottle works best with the vent in place and that it can be removed as your baby's feeding develops.
Which Dr. Brown's nipple should I choose?
Level 1 usually suits newborns, then move to levels 2, 3 and 4 according to age and pace; the Y-Cut nipple is designed for thickened liquids. Our bottle guide explains each level.
