How do you choose a grooming kit?
- Read the list, not the number of pieces: the “6 pieces” of the Arctic kit by Safety 1st include the case itself: compare the detailed list on each product page.
- Two thermometers, two uses: the bath thermometer checks the water, while the digital or rectal one takes your child’s temperature. The Sable kit by Babymoov contains both.
- Nose and teeth: a nasal aspirator in the Curl White, Sable, Matcha Green, Arctic and Miniland kits; a teething ring or gum massager depending on the model.
- Nails: round-tipped scissors, nail clippers and nail files; the Plouf by Badabulle has all three, with four nail files.
- The case: transparent for the Plouf, compact for the Sable (22.5 x 5 x 14.4 cm), 6 litres for the Curl White.

For the sbouâ, the seventh-day celebration, or a visit to a newborn, a grooming kit is a welcome gift: discreetly ask the parents whether they already have one; if they do, give the maternity kit instead, designed for mum. And slip it into the hospital bag before leaving for the clinic.

Scissors, thermometer, nasal aspirator: the right technique
Store the kit out of children’s reach, with the scissors put back in place. File or cut nails when your child is relaxed, in daylight. Use the rectal thermometer according to its instructions; if your child has a fever or is having trouble breathing, call your paediatrician. For the nasal aspirator, follow our nose cleaning guide.

Come and see us in Maârif: our showroom at 93 rue Brahim Nakhai, Casablanca, is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 8 pm, and an order placed on the website can be picked up there free of charge. Frequently asked questions
Baby grooming kit or toiletry kit: what’s the difference?
At our shop, both names refer to a filled case: Babymoov says “toiletry and grooming kit”, Safety 1st says “grooming kit”. Individual accessories are in the Baby care category.
Do you need a digital thermometer as well as the bath thermometer?
Yes, if you want to take your child’s temperature: a bath thermometer only measures the water. The Sable, Matcha Green and Arctic 6-piece kits include a digital or electronic one, the Curl White a rectal one.
How do you look after the kit?
The Curl White and Sable kits wipe clean with a sponge, according to their product pages; the muslin and wipes in the Curl White wash at 30 °C maximum.
