Play mats
Where can I buy a play mat in Morocco? At La Maison du Bébé, you can discover play mats from Tiny Love, Chicco, Ludi, Play & Go and Doudou et Compagnie at our Maârif showroom in Casablanca. Ordered online, they come with delivery across Morocco, free from 300 DH.
Lying on their back or tummy, babies discover the colours, textures and sounds around them. A play mat gives them a clean, comfortable space for these first games. Discover our models available in Morocco, from play mats with arches to large play mats.
Which play mat should you choose?
- The play mat with arches: toys hang above baby lying underneath, as on the Tiny Love Gymini or the Chicco Bubble I-Gym.
- The large play mat: a wide surface for babies who are starting to roll over, like the Tiny Love giant mats and Supermat or the Chicco Move N Grow XXL mat.
- The playpen mat or cocoon: the Doudou et Compagnie Tapidou and Cocon Magic.
- Play mats and tiles: Ludi tiles, the Kids Melody piano music mat, Play & Go mats, or foam play mats.
What to check before you buy
- Dimensions: compare the unfolded size with the floor space you have.
- Adaptability: removable arches, detachable toys, use beyond the lying-down stage.
- Care: machine washable or surface clean, according to the instructions.
- Use: some models are designed for outdoor use, like the Tiny Love Treasure the Ocean XL.
Brands available: Tiny Love, Chicco, Doudou et Compagnie, Ludi, Play & Go and Kids Melody. To add to the play mat, also see our hanging toys and our Play and early learning range.
Frequently asked questions
From what age can you use a play mat?
Many play mats with arches can be used from the first weeks, with baby lying on their back. Check the age given on each model’s product page.
Can baby stay alone on the play mat?
No. Tummy time in particular must always be supervised by an adult. If baby falls asleep, put them in their cot, on their back.
When should you remove the arches?
Follow the instructions: the arches and hanging toys usually need to be removed when baby starts to crawl on all fours. The mat then becomes a play surface.

Your questions
Which play mat should you choose for a newborn?
A soft play mat with an arch and a few high-contrast toys is enough at first. Convertible models, like the Tiny Love Gymini, then adapt to tummy time and later to sitting play.
Is a large play mat worth it?
Yes, once baby starts to crawl or roll: it gives them a clean, comfortable space to play on the floor, in the living room or the nursery.
Where can I see play mats in Casablanca?
At the La Maison du Bébé showroom in Maârif, 93 rue Brahim Nakhai, where several models are on display. We also deliver across Morocco, free from 300 DH.
