Pretend play
By imitating adults, children get to grips with the world around them: they cook, play doctor, run a shop, do DIY or tell stories. The pretend play toys offered in Morocco by La Maison du Bébé cover these everyday worlds, from baby dolls to wooden vegetables. Choose according to your child's age and the scenes they act out most often.
Which pretend play toy should you choose?
- Dolls and accessories: soft dolls, baby dolls and sets with accessories.
- Play kitchens and shops: utensils, wooden food, a cash register, a coffee machine.
- Tool sets, doctor and firefighter play: tools and accessories to play at a job.
- Figures and animals, characters and mythical creatures: for making up stories.
- Magic, theatre and puppets: for putting on a show.
- Science and anatomy: for experimenting like a real researcher.
Useful things to check before you buy
- Age: follow the age stated by the manufacturer; play kitchen or tool accessories may contain small parts.
- Material: wood, fabric or plastic; check the composition on each product page.
- Contents: check how many accessories come in each set.
- Room to grow: a play world you can add to (food, utensils, characters) keeps the game going longer.
Brands available: Hape, Miniland, Eurekakids, Doudou et Compagnie, Defa Lucy and Dede.
