Choose a baby bath according to the space in your bathroom and how long you want to use it: foldable, evolving or inflatable, from birth up to 2, 3 or 4 years depending on the model. Our bath time guide explains how to get ready: 37 °C maximum and 8 to 12 cm of water.

How do you choose a bath for your child?
- Space: when folded, the Foldable Bathtub Maxi-Cosi is just 10 cm thick (86 x 51 cm) and hangs up on its hook.
- How long you’ll use it: up to about 24 months for the Badabulle and Aquanest evolving baths, 3 years for the Babymoov Aqua Dots and 4 years for the Maxi-Cosi Indigo and Foldable models, according to their product sheets.
- Water temperature: a built-in thermometer on the Babamama bath and on the Maxi-Cosi models (HighSense thermometer), or a separate thermometer.
- Your newborn’s position: built-in insert and reclined backrest on the Aqua Dots, semi-reclined seat on the Badabulle evolving bath.
- Draining: a plug or a hose, so you don’t have to carry a full bath to the sink.
- Height: a stand or legs let you bathe your baby standing up, as long as they are compatible with the bath.

Bath safety
Place the bath on a flat surface, fully unfolded, before filling it. Check the temperature with a thermometer, keep one hand on your child and never leave them alone, even for a few seconds, with or without an insert. For the Easy Bath mattress, the instructions require the head and ears to stay out of the water and advise against bath oil.

Frequently asked questions
Up to what age can you use a baby bath?
It depends on the model: about 24 months for the Badabulle and Aquanest evolving baths, 3 years for the Aqua Dots, 4 years for the Maxi-Cosi foldable baths. After that, the big bath with a non-slip bath mat takes over.
What temperature should the bath be?
37 °C maximum, checked with a thermometer rather than by hand. The Babamama, Indigo and Foldable baths have a built-in thermometer; otherwise, see our bath thermometers.
How much water should you put in the bath?
The French national health insurance (Assurance Maladie), quoted in our bath time guide, recommends 8 to 12 cm of water. Stay next to your child throughout the bath.
Does the Indigo stand fit another bath?
No, it is designed only for the Maxi-Cosi Indigo and Indigo Plus baths, and for a child aged 0 to 6 months.
