Jané in Morocco: Spanish baby gear expertise since 1932

Jané was born in Barcelona in 1932, founded by Manuel Jané Vidal around a folding stroller he had designed for his own son. Since then, the Spanish brand has kept innovating to combine safety, comfort and design. It has its own crash-test centre to put its car seats to the test and extends its expertise all the way to baby's mealtimes.

About Jané

Jané is a Spanish baby gear brand whose story began in 1932 in Barcelona. That year, in Ramón Jané's family workshop, his son Manel set out to build a stroller for his newborn. The workshop became a factory in 1950, and the brand has never stopped improving children's outings and safety since.

Among the milestones it highlights: the Golfstick stroller, patented in 1987, the PILOT stroller in 1998, compact enough to fit in an umbrella stand, and the INDY car seat in 2000, presented by the brand as the first child seat for 4 to 12 year olds approved with the ISOFIX system. In 2002, Jané opened what it describes as Spain's first crash-test laboratory, and in 2004 it acquired the German car seat brand Concord. Today, the company JANÉ, S.A., based in the Barcelona area, offers strollers such as Muum, Crosslight and Keep, car seats and baby carriers, as well as products for sleep, mealtimes and hygiene. Its mission remains the same as at the start: to offer baby comfort and safety, backed by nearly a century of experience designing strollers and equipment for families.
