Wash the teether before first use, then after each use in hot soapy water, in the dishwasher (top rack) or in a steriliser. For a cooling effect it can go in the freezer according to the manufacturer: let it sit at room temperature for a moment before giving it. Inspect it regularly and stay with baby while it is in use.
