Baby head support pillows

A baby head support is used when your child is lying on their back, in a bouncer, a stroller or a carrycot, as intended by the manufacturer. At La Maison du Bébé, in Morocco, we offer Babymoov head supports and a baby pillow, as well as a Doomoo positioner.

Which head support or baby pillow should you choose?

• The ergonomic head support: it supports baby’s head when lying down. Babymoov’s Lovenest range, available in several versions (Original, Lovenest+, Natural Care), offers ergonomic head supports; if you have any concerns about the shape of baby’s head, ask your paediatrician for advice.
• The baby pillow: check the age from which the manufacturer recommends it and the situations it is intended for.
• The back positioner: it holds baby in the position described by the manufacturer; read the instructions before use.

What to check before you buy

• Age of use: some head supports are intended for the first months only; respect the age range stated on the product page.
• Material: check what the cover is made of, for example organic cotton for some versions.
• Care: check in the instructions whether the cover is removable and how to wash it.

Using a head support safely

Use these products under adult supervision, with baby on their back, respecting the age stated by the manufacturer. Stop using them when the instructions say so: for some models, as soon as baby can roll over on their own. If you have any concerns about the shape of your child’s head, ask your paediatrician for advice.

Frequently asked questions

Is a baby head support enough to prevent flat head?

No accessory replaces the advice of a health professional. Some manufacturers present their head support as an aid to prevention; your paediatrician remains the right person to advise you.

From what age can you use a baby pillow?

Each manufacturer states the age of use in the instructions: respect it. For sleep, always lay baby on their back, on a firm mattress, with no pillow or blanket, and follow your paediatrician’s advice.
