When should I buy a nursing pillow?

Can baby sleep on the pillow?
No. The pillow is for positioning the parent. Never let baby sleep on it or against it, and always keep baby under adult supervision.

What is a nursing pillow for?

When can I start using a pregnancy pillow?
As soon as it makes you more comfortable. In the 3rd trimester, after 28 weeks, it is recommended to go to sleep on your side: a pillow or cushions behind your back help you stay in this position. If in doubt, talk to your midwife or doctor.
Microbeads or fibre: which should I choose?
Microbeads are easy to shape and stay light, but they can flatten and their noise bothers some mums. For a fibre-filled model, check how well it holds its shape and how to wash it on the product page. In every case, the pillow should quickly regain its shape.
