What to check before you buy
- Age range: note the starting and ending age or weight of use stated by the manufacturer.
- Where to use it: cot, crib or play area; respect the locations allowed in the instructions.
- Dimensions: compare them with the inside space of your cot or crib.
- Care: removable cover, washed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Safe use: read before use
These accessories must only be used under adult supervision, within the age range stated by the manufacturer, with baby lying on their back. Stop using them as soon as baby rolls over on their own if the instructions say so. For the night and for unsupervised naps, health authorities recommend placing baby on their back, flat, in a clear cot.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a baby nest and a sleep positioner?
A baby nest forms a cocoon around baby, whereas a sleep positioner usually consists of side supports. Their use and age limit depend on each model.
Can baby be left to sleep alone in a baby nest?
No. Use it only under adult supervision. For unsupervised sleep, lay baby on their back in their cot, without any positioning accessory.
