Which toys to offer by age?
| From birth | Play mats with an arch, hanging toys, comforters: the baby looks, listens and starts to grasp. |
|---|---|
| Around 6 months | Activity toys, soft books, bath toys, shape sorters: they handle, bang and make sounds. |
| From 1 to 3 years | Pull-along toys, wooden stacking towers and activity tables, musical instruments: they walk, fit things together and imitate. |
These guidelines help organise the department; the minimum age that applies is the one printed on each toy's packaging.
Tips for selling early learning toys in store
- Sort by age, not just by brand. Parents and guests look for a gift “for 6 months” or “for 1 year”.
- Let customers try. An assembled play mat or a musical toy on display helps them decide.
- Prepare for key moments. Births, birthdays, Achoura, end-of-year holidays: order a few weeks ahead.
- Put together gift ideas. An early learning toy, a comforter and a bath book make a newborn gift that is easy to present.
- Keep instructions visible. Recommended age, warnings and small-parts notices must remain readable on the shelf.
