Nursing covers

Breastfeeding in the park, at a restaurant or during a family visit is easier when you feel at ease. A nursing cover, also called a nursing cape or breastfeeding cover, gives mum a private space and baby a calm cocoon during feeds.

How to choose a nursing cover?

• A light, breathable fabric: baby must not get too hot underneath, especially in summer.
• Visibility: a rigid or open neckline lets you keep eye contact with your baby.
• Adjustment: an adjustable neck strap fits every body shape.
• Coverage: a generous size covers the shoulders and back without you having to hold it in place.

Frequently asked questions

Can baby get too hot under the cover?

Yes, in very hot weather. Leave a gap so that air can circulate, check baby’s face regularly and remove the cover after the feed.

Can the nursing cover be used after feeding?

Depending on the model, it can also serve as a light cover-up or blanket; check the product page for its intended uses.
