How do I choose a hooded bath towel?
- Size: Doomoo's XL format grows with your child for several years; a square 100 x 100 cm hooded towel wraps a newborn well.
- Fabric: absorbent organic cotton for the Dry'n Play Almond, Oeko-Tex certified according to its product page; 100% cotton for the Pink and Tetra Jersey Green models.
- Hood: it covers the wet head straight out of the water; all Dry'n Play towels have one.
- Hands-free: the silicone ring on the Pink and Tetra Jersey Green models fastens around the adult's neck like an apron, and doubles as a teether during drying.
- Care: 30 °C for the Almond, 40 °C and tumble-drying allowed for the ring models, according to the product pages.
- How many: our newborn essentials list recommends two hooded towels, so there is always a dry one.

In summer, slip the hooded towel into your beach or pool bag: it wraps your child as soon as they come out of the water. Rinse it in clean water when you get home to remove sand and salt, then wash it according to its label.

Drying safely
Dry your child on a changing surface or on your lap, always keeping one hand on them, paying attention to the folds of the neck, armpits and thighs. Don't let the hood slip over their face, and remove the wet towel before dressing them.

Hooded towel or ordinary towel?
A hooded towel has a hood and wraps around your child: it keeps the head and body warm while you carry them to the changing table. An ordinary towel is enough later for an older child.
Up to what age can you use a hooded bath towel?
Doomoo presents its XL hooded towels as usable for many years. As long as it covers your child from head to knees, it remains practical.
How do I care for a cotton hooded towel?
