Compact strollers

En savoir plus

For city trips, stairs or a small car boot, a lightweight stroller that folds easily makes everyday life simpler. Umbrella, ultra-compact or convertible compact: compare them by your baby’s age and how you get around. All these models are available in Morocco.

Umbrella stroller or compact stroller?

  • Umbrella stroller: it folds lengthways, like an umbrella, and is ideal for quick outings. Check the minimum age and the backrest recline: some are designed for a child who can sit up.
  • Ultra-compact stroller: it folds down very small, handy for the car boot or for travel. Compare the folded dimensions and whether a carry bag is included.
  • Convertible compact stroller: depending on the model, it takes a carrycot, an infant car seat or a newborn pack sold separately. The Babyzen YOYO Connect frame, for example, is sold on its own: the product page lists the parts to add.

What to check before you buy

  • Weight and fold: one-hand or two-hand fold, a stroller that stands up once folded, a carry handle.
  • Folded dimensions: compare them with your car boot or, for flying, with the airline’s rules.
  • Comfort: reclining backrest, leg rest, hood, suspension and wheel size.
  • Safety: adjustable harness, parking brake and the standard stated on the product page.

Brands available: Maxi-Cosi and Bébé Confort (Leona 2, Laika 2, Teeny 3D, Soko…), Chicco (Liteway, Miinimo), Babyzen, Safety 1st, Kidilo, Jovikids and Unilove. Discover all our strollers too.

Frequently asked questions

Is an umbrella stroller suitable for a newborn?

Only if the manufacturer states it is suitable from birth, with a backrest that reclines far enough or a newborn accessory. Otherwise, use it from the age given on the product page.

Does a folding stroller go everywhere?

Small wheels cope less well with uneven pavements. If your routes are bumpy, compare wheel size and suspension before you choose.

Your questions

What is the difference between an umbrella stroller and a compact stroller?

An umbrella stroller is very light and folds lengthways; it is mainly suited to older children. A compact stroller folds down small, and some models are suitable from birth.

Can a compact stroller go in an aircraft cabin?

Some airlines accept ultra-compact strollers in the cabin, depending on their dimensions. Compare the folded dimensions on the product page with your airline’s rules.

Can I try a compact stroller in Casablanca?

Yes, at our Maârif showroom, 93 rue Brahim Nakhai: fold and unfold the models on display with an adviser.
