Once your child has outgrown their harnessed seat, the booster seat raises them so that the vehicle seat belt sits correctly on them. In Morocco, La Maison du Bébé offers high-back booster seats, fitted with the seat belt or with ISOFIX.

Which booster seat should you choose?

  • High-back booster seat: it guides the belt at shoulder level and supports the head and sides. Its height-adjustable backrest grows with your child.
  • ISOFIX booster seat: the connectors keep the seat stable on the back seat, even when it is empty. Your child stays secured with the vehicle’s 3-point seat belt.
  • Backless booster seat: if you are considering one, note that it is only for older children, within the range set by the product’s standard.

What to check before you buy

  • The height range (R129 / i-Size) or weight range (R44/04) shown on the approval label.
  • The belt route: the diagonal strap goes across the middle of the shoulder, never across the neck; the lap strap stays low, across the top of the thighs and not over the tummy.
  • The width of the booster seat, if several children travel in the back.
  • The weight and fitting method, if the booster seat often moves between cars.
  • The removable cover and care instructions.

Frequently asked questions

When should you move to a booster seat?

When your child reaches the limit of their current seat and the minimum height or weight stated for the booster seat. Rely on the manufacturer’s instructions rather than on age alone.

Is an ISOFIX booster seat safer than a belted one?

In both cases, it is the vehicle seat belt that restrains the child. The ISOFIX connectors add stability and hold the booster seat in place when it is not in use.
